SBI has made a commitment to the Clarence Catchment Alliance to apply for licenses for the extraction of mineral resources in the Clarence Catchment only if it does not pose a threat to the water quality in the Clarence River. Before applying for any licenses, SBI will hold consultations with the Clarence Catchment Alliance and seek the approval of a majority of citizens for SBI’s future plans in Northern Rivers.
